New York, N.Y. August 9, 2007 - Penta Events, one of New York City?s premier corporate event planning companies, has teamed up with the American Diabetes Association for a day of golf and entertainment. On October 16, 2007 at Lido Golf Club in Lido Beach, N.Y. guests will enjoy a shotgun game, followed by cocktails, dinner and an awards reception with entertainment provided by the Knicks City Dancers.

Players will be able to enjoy a day on golfing at one of the best golf courses in the metro area. An engineering marvel designed by architect Charles B. McDonald in 1914. The Lido Beach Golf Club is crown jewel of metro-area golf, serving as host to sectional qualifying for the 1925 U.S. Open. Following World War II, Robert Trent Jones redesigned the links course, maintaining its authenticity and toughness. Green fees for the day will cost a foursome $800 and an individual player $200. The fee for guests who wish only to attend the dinner and awards reception following the golf outing will be $75. The proceeds from this event will benefit the American Diabetes Association.
