Certilman Balin Adler & Hyman, LLP has announced that Leigh Carroll, Neal S. Friedman, and Kamini Rampioray have joined the firm as associates.
Leigh Carroll (Patchogue) joined the Real Estate Law Practice Group in the Hauppauge office. In 1997, she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from North Carolina State University. In 2000, she earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Touro Law Center where she was a teaching assistant for a class in Real Property Law. Prior to her position at Certilman Balin, Leigh was an Assistant Town Attorney for the Town of Brookhaven where she was counsel to the Board of Zoning Appeals.
Neil S. Friedman (Wantagh) is an associate in the Mortgage Foreclosure Practice Group. Before joining the firm, Mr. Friedman practiced as an associate at the law firm of Rapier & Wilson, P.C. in Allen, Texas. He concentrated in the areas of real estate, probate, small estate planning and civil litigation. For the ten years prior to moving to Texas, Mr. Friedman, a native Long Islander, was a Sole Practitioner in Wantagh, where he represented clients in real estate transactions with a concentration in foreclosure litigation, landlord/tenant, workouts, bankruptcy and residential closings. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, from the State University of New York at Albany in 1986 and a Juris Doctor from Hofstra Law School in 1989. He is admitted to practice in the states of New York and Texas.
Kamini Rampioray (Queens) is an associate in the Mortgage Foreclosure Practice Group. Prior to joining Certilman Balin, Ms. Rampioray was an associate in the Law Offices of Raymond Schwartzberg after having clerked in the Bankruptcy Department of Berkman, Henoch, Peterson & Peddy, P.C. Additionally, Ms. Rampioray was a research assistant to Professor Amy Stein at Hofstra Law School and worked on the Domestic Violence Courtroom Advocates Project. She also interned in the Department of General Counsel of eHomecredit Corp. and was a legal assistant at Marulli, Pewarski & Heubel, P.C. Ms. Rampioray earned a Juris Doctor from Hofstra University School of Law in 2002 and a Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies from the John Jay College of Criminal Justice in 1999. While at Hofstra, she was a member of the National Institute of Trial Advocacy (NITA), Phi Alpha Delta, and the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association (APALSA).
